Decline in new mobile phone subscribers

According to the General Statistics Office, 15.5 million of the 128.8 million are landline telephone subscribers, an increase of 0.4 per cent, and 113.3 million are mobile subscribers, up by 4.8 per cent. It is reported that the growth rate of telephone subscribers in August alone fell 24.7 per cent over the same period last year. Of the above-mentioned subscribers, there are more than 40,200 fixed subscribers, a decrease of 74.8 per cent, and 6.7 million are mobile subscribers, down 23.7 per cent.

Vietnam subscriber base touches 174.3m as at the end of April

As estimated by the General Statistic Office (GSO), till the end of April 2011, the country’s total number of phone subscribers is estimated to reach 174.3 million users, rising 25 percent from the same period last year, including 16.5 million fixed phone subscribers, rising 0.9 percent year-on-year and 157.8 million mobile phone subscribers, up 28.2 percent y-o-y.

Foreign telcos dial up capital changes

Vietnam produces biodegradable polymer products
