$1.6bn Golden Hills closer to reality

The inland project, called Golden Hills, will cover 400 hectares in Lien Chieu district, about 10 kilometres south of the city centre and close to well-known Hai Van pass.

Trung Nam Land announced to pump about $1.67 billion into the project to build residential areas, commercial centres, suppermarkets, hotels, golf course, schools, a hospital and entertainment centres.

According to the developer, the entire project will be completed in 2014. The developer signed contracts with US’s Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP and Singapore’s CICADA Design Pte Limited for designing the project.

On this occasion, Trung Nam Group also breaks ground of a 2.7km road connecting to Nguyen Tat Thanh street. The road will make the project be easily accessible from Danang’s downtown area and tourism site like Son Tra peninsula, My Khe beach and also National Highway 1 and Danang’s hi-tech park via Nguyen Tat Thanh street.

Established in 2004, Trung Nam Group is a domestic private firm specialising in property, construction and power sectors. Apart from Golden Hills, the group is investing in a property project in the Central Highlands’ Lam Dong province and the Vien Dong Meridian residential project in Danang city centre.

It is also building three hydropower plants in Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces.
