National flag air carrier still cannot use Dung Quat’s oil

Meeting all the domestic and international standards, Jet A1 petrol made by Dung Quat Oil Refinery has been provided to some partners and has served 100 successful flights carrying specialists, engineers and workers from mainland to the oil rig in Vung Tau over the last many months.

Dung Quat oil refinery resumes operation

The information was released by Nguyen Hoai Giang, General Director of the Binh Son Petro-chemical Refinery Company, a subsidiary of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam).

Expansion plans for Dung Quat economic zone

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the expansion plan expected to be complete by 2025. According to a statement issued on January 20, the zone will be expanded another 24,280 hectares on land and 10,752 hectares towards the sea.

Dung Quat EZ attracts 113 foreign invested projects

After 14 years of construction and development, Dung Quat EZ is considered of the country’s pioneering and successful economic zones with an average growth rate during 2006-2010 at 18.53 percent, and average industrial production value up 53.6 percent.

Oil refinery to work at full capacity

The ministry had ordered the Dung Quat Oil Refinery to continue operating at full capacity for the next 105 days to meet domestic demand during the period, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Cam Tu said.

Dung Quat Refinery to officially open next week

The more-than-US$3 billion refinery has the capacity to refine 6.5 million tonnes of crude oil - 30 per cent of the country's total domestic demand - each year. Its products include liquefied petroleum gas , A95 and A92 petrol, kerosene, diesel, fuel oil and Jet A1. The refinery has taken delivery of 7.6 million tonnes of crude oil from the Bach Ho Oil-field off southern Vung Tau Province since it began working.

Oil refinery sells big this year

According to the Binh Son Refinery and Petrochemical Co., Ltd, which operates the Dung Quat Oil Refinery, in November the plant continued to run at full capacity and turn out high-quality products.

Nghi Son joint-venture distributor approved

Nghi Son is Viet Nam's second oil refinery. Located in central Thanh Hoa Province's Nghi Son Economic Zone, its planned capacity is 10 million tonnes of crude oil per year, or 200,000 barrels a day, 1.5 higher than the Dung Quat refinery.

Eight enterprises promise to purchase Dung Quat’s oil

Eight biggest fuel importers have confirmed that they will increase the purchases of fuel products from Dung Quat Oil Refinery in order to help the refinery to clear its big stocks.
